Melanoma Research Center

Scientists at The Wistar Institute Melanoma Research Center have made huge strides in understanding the biology that underlies this disease, from basic genetics to the study of melanoma cell interaction with the microenvironment and new concepts that describe the stem cell-like abilities of melanoma to evade treatment.

Pennsylvania Cancer Alliance

The Pennsylvania Cancer Alliance is a coalition of the state’s leading research institutions that was formed in 1998. Alliance members are among the most active academic institutions in the nation, with five of the members holding the prestigious National Cancer Institute (NCI) Cancer Center designation.
