| About the Book: From modern pick-up artists to the origin of the sexes, The Score explores the science behind male sexual behavior. With examples from both the human and animal worlds, Philadelphia Inquirer science writer Faye Flam elucidates how the pursuit of sex has shaped males over millions of years. This scientifically grounded but humorous book touches on subjects including the competition for mates, the evolution of the Y chromosome, and the decline of the alpha male.
