Small World Big World Logo

On display will be the exhibit of winning images from Nikon’s 2013 Small World photography contest. These photos provide the viewer with a glimpse into a world so small it can only be viewed through the lens of a microscope.

Also, for one night only, The Wistar Institute’s collection of large-scale anatomical sculptures constructed by William Rush will be on display. Dr. Caspar Wistar, our Institute’s namesake, used these early 19th-century models to help illustrate comparative anatomy in his medical lectures.

This is Wistar's 11th year of hosting the Nikon Small World Exhibit in the Philadelphia region.

Each year we are happy to provide an opportunity for people to enjoy the intersection of science and art with a free opening night reception.

Please consider making a contribution to The Wistar Institute today so we can continue to bring you interesting programs and events that stimulate discussions around science. Thank you!
