The Information Systems department offers computer and networking support to all scientific, service department and administrative staff. We maintain an institute-wide network of workstations and servers that provide file service, print service and backup capabilities along with broadband access to the Internet. The Institute hosts its own internal and external web servers along with an email server that provides email for all employees.
The department also offers consultation and development services to facilitate scientific research and to assist administrative departments to work more efficiently. In addition, hardware and software evaluation and recommendation services are available.
The Information Systems department provides Help Desk services to answer questions and provide assistance with hardware and software installation, configuration and troubleshooting across a broad range of hardware and software applications. Help Desk services are available by calling 215-898-3749, via online request form on Wistar's Intranet, sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or by visiting our offices in person.
