User Fees

User-operated analysis on BD, XL, or CyAn machines:
$20/hour for Wistar users
$35/hour Non-Wistar academic users
N/A for Non-Wistar commercial use

Analysis by facility operators: BD FACSCan, FACSCalibur, LSRIIs,
COULTER XL, or CyAn  (incl. post-acquisition analysis of acquired data): 
$50/hour for Wistar users 
$60/hour for Non-Wistar academic users 
$120/hour for Non-Wistar commercial users

Sorting on MoFlo high-speed instrument: 
$60/hour for Wistar users
$100/hour for Non-Wistar academic users
$200/hour for Non-Wistar commercial users

Training for user-operated instruments:
$50/hour Wistar users
$60/hour Non-Wistar academic users
N/A for Non-Wistar commercial use

Rates are charged in one-quarter hour increments.

Billing:

Monthly purchase orders (PO) are required for services provided by the facility to non-members of The Wistar Institute Cancer Center.  Services will not be performed in the absence of a purchase order.

At the beginning of each calendar month, a PO made out to Flow Cytometry Services, Wistar Institute Flow Cytometry Facility should be faxed to Wistar’s accounting department at 215-898-0709.  The amount of the PO should be estimated based upon historical billing patterns, adding 20% above that amount.  Please contact the facility if assistance is needed in calculating this amount. The PO must also include the name of the principal investigator being charged.
