User Fees

User-operated analysis on user-friendly BD, XL, or CyAn machines:
$20/hour for Wistar users
$35/hour Non-Wistar academic users
N/A for Non-Wistar commercial use

Analysis by facility operators: BD FACSCan or FACSCalibur, COULTER XL, or CyAn (incl. post-acquisition analysis of acquired data):
$50/hour for Wistar users
$60/hour for Non-Wistar academic users
$120/hour for Non-Wistar commercial users

Sorting on MoFlo high-speed instrument:
$60/hour for Wistar users
$100/hour for Non-Wistar academic users
$200/hour for Non-Wistar commercial users

Training for user-operated instruments:
$50/hour Wistar users
$60/hour Non-Wistar academic users
N/A for Non-Wistar commercial use

BSL-3 COULTER ELITE – Analysis or Sorting:
$60/hour for Wistar users + $60 set-up fee to cover BSL-3 facility costs
$100/hour for Non-Wistar academic users + $75 set-up fee to cover BSL-3 facility costs

**Rates are charged in one-quarter hour increments. We believe you will find these rates competitive with other local institutions.
 
Monthly purchase orders are now required if you are utilizing the services of the Wistar Institute Flow Cytometry Facility, and your laboratory is NOT part of the Wistar Institute.  We are not able to perform services in absence of a purchase order.

At the beginning of each calendar month, please issue a purchase order made out to:

The PO must mention the name of the lab or principal investigator being charged.

You should fax a copy of it to the Wistar accounting department at:

            215-898-0709 (you must dial all 10 digits outside of Wistar)

Please estimate the amount of the PO based upon your lab's historical billing pattern, adding 20% above that amount.  If you need assistance in calculating this amount, please contact our laboratory.
