Mouse Genetics Facility

How to Obtain Services

Instructions

  1. If you are a first-time user of the Mouse Genetics Facility, please contact our staff by phone (215-495-680 or 215-435-6800) or e-mail (pjiang@wistar.org) to establish a user account.

  2. Once your user account is established, download and complete a Request for Service form for either Wistar personnel or Non-Wistar personnel to describe the type of service you require and an Archive of Submitted Materials form to provide us with information on your DNA construct and/or ES cells. A meeting or conference call will be scheduled to discuss your timeframe and constructs/ES cells.
  3. Deliver your completed Request for Service form to the Facility by fax (215-495-6809), mail (Mouse Genetics Facility, Room B86, 3601 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104), or in person (Room B86).

    4. Send us your completed Archive of Submitted Materials form and your constructs and/or ES cells by express mail or in person. You will receive a notification of service completion, delivery of mouse biopsies (tail tissues for genotyping), and ear-tagged mice (for Essential services—see Services).
    5. After genotyping, send your results to the Facility.
