Monoclonal Antibodies Against Human Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan (ME31.3; ME95-45)

Description: Origin: MAbs ME31.3 and ME95-45 were derived by fusion with P3X63Ag8.653 after immunization of mice with melanoma cells.

Immunoprecipitates a >260 Kd glycoprotein that is expressed by human melanoma cells. MAb 95-45 detects an antigen present in sera of patients with advanced metastatic melanoma but absent in sera of patients with other malignancies or of healthy subjects.

Reactivity: MAbs ME31.3 and ME95-45 have a high level of reactivity with melanoma cells. They react with ocular melanoma and with nevus cells in culture.
