NIH budget cuts mean that a potential cancer treatment could go untested, or that researchers might not be able to explore new avenues of research. It means a loss of jobs and impairs our ability to train young scientists. One of our colleagues in the research community has posted a petition on the official White House website. This petition must get 25,000 signatures by March 18 if the White House is to review it.
